Kaycee Tormoen, MA, LPC, LSC

My passion lies in walking alongside clients through life's most transformative journeys by providing a safe, supportive, and grounded environment. With over a decade of combined experience in private practice and school counseling, I offer a unique perspective for those navigating the high-pressure transitions of young adulthood and college life, as well as the profound identity shifts of motherhood and the perinatal period.

I utilize a collaborative person-centered, CBT, and strengths-based approach to assist with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. My practice is deeply informed by a certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies from UW-Madison, which integrates feminist theory into my work—allowing me to better support clients as they navigate the 'invisible load' of parenting burnout, birth trauma, and the evolving dynamics of adult relationships. I believe that every individual possesses unique strengths, and I find true purpose in tailoring my practice to meet you exactly where you are, ensuring a space where all identities and backgrounds feel seen, respected, and empowered.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Outside of the therapeutic setting, I am a parent of young children, a partner, and a lifelong learner. As a dog lover who often incorporates my dog into sessions, I deeply understand the beautiful messiness of real life and remain committed to broadening my practice to provide the most insightful care possible.
