Kaycee Tormoen, MA, LPC, LSC

My passion includes helping clients navigate this journey by providing a safe, supportive, and positive environment. I have over ten years of combined experience in private practice and school counseling, offering unique perspective and insight into the population I work with. I utilize a person-centered, CBT, and strengths-based approach. My experiences have offered me the opportunity to assist with anxiety, depression, and self-esteem, among other areas.

I earned my Master’s in Counseling from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and a Bachelor’s in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Additionally, I earned a certificate in Gender and Women’s Studies from UW-Madison, which adds feminist theory to my practice. I believe that each person has unique strengths and needs, and I enjoy altering my practice to meet each client where they are. I welcome all identities and backgrounds, and I’m committed to creating a space where you feel seen and respected.

Outside of the therapeutic setting, I'm a parent of young children, a partner, and a dog lover who understands the messiness and beauty of real life. I am a lifelong learner and enjoy strengthening and broadening my practice with workshops and training. Notably, I am working toward EMDR certification and expect to incorporate it into my practice starting in December of 2025.
